In developing our SUP DOWNWIND PRO range, we aimed for maximum glide to ensure easy take-offs. This led us to create long, narrow boards that excel in SUP foiling and offer significant benefits for wing foiling. Their extended glide facilitates take-offs and enables the use of smaller wing surfaces even in light winds. Additionally, their streamlined shape provides excellent maneuverability and comfort for such voluminous boards.

Drawing from our experiences using the SUP DW boards in various wing foiling conditions, we designed the ROCKET MIDLENGTH boards to capture the best features of both our SUP DW PRO and compact wing foil boards. The result is a board that combines easy take-offs, enhanced maneuverability, and optimal stability, offering a playful experience even for boards exceeding 78L.

The main innovation in the ROCKET MIDLENGTH shape is the inclusion of a second small step on the hull, positioned closer to the tail, complementing the existing step near the twin tracks from the SUP DW PRO. These two steps reduce drag during take-offs and touchdowns. The second step, along with a higher kicktail to minimize tail-water contact during pumping, channels water flow at the back without generating excessive drag. The slightly wider tail maintains stability despite the reduced length, while the slim outline and parallel rails enhance glide and speed during take-off.

The ROCKET MIDLENGTH benefits from an ultra-light Bamboo Deck Construction. Featuring a bamboo layer only on the deck, this construction ensures a lightweight board while maintaining strength and durability. The foil feel is direct, and control remains absolute throughout downwind rides, even at high speeds.

Available in four sizes (5’8”, 5’10”, 6’0”, 6’2”), the ROCKET MIDLENGTH boards cater to both beginners and advanced riders, offering exceptional versatility in various conditions:

• 5’8” and 5’10”: Ideal for those seeking a single board for a wide range of conditions. These sizes are perfect for light wind take-offs and strong wind stability, and are a great step-up for experienced riders transitioning from a smaller board like the ROCKET WING or ROCKET WING-S under 50L.
• 6’0” and 6’2”: Suited for heavier riders (85kg+) or those preferring a light wind board without going for a SUP longer than 7’0”. These sizes are also excellent for beginners, providing easier take-offs thanks to their glide.
